King's Highway 88 -   O N T   H I G H W A Y S

Highway 88 was completely downloaded January 1, 1998; Before being downloaded, Highway 88 ran from Highway 27 at Bond Head, to Highway 11 in Downtown Bradford.  Because both Highways 11 and 27 were downloaded, Highway 88 was also downloaded, since it no longer connected to provincial highways at its termini.

AADT (1994):  Highest:  9,650, from Highway 400 easterly to Bradford;

                             Lowest:  5,350, from Bond Head easterly to Highway 400.

Status:  Totally downloaded in 1998.  Now known as Simcoe Road 88

Road Info:  Highway 88 is in good condition for its entire length.  Traffic volumes on Highway 88 are for the most part moderate, with the exception of in Bradford, where the route can be very busy.  Rural speed limits on Highway 88 are posted at 80km/h.
